School is out and Cowabunga Bay is IN

Grandkiddos Lena and Dylan both born last year
Well school has been out for 2 weeks now and I'm really enjoying my time off! We had my son, Devin, from Chicago and his wife Caitlin come to visit with their little 1 year old, Lena. She is close in age to my grandson Dylan, both of them are pictured above. Aren't they sweet?
Here is my class of 2013-14 minus 3 more kiddos. It was a very big class. Here they are showing off their writing portfolios. These babies ended up being about and inch and a half thick!

Here they all are at our end of the year play called Ugly Duckling. It turned out really cute.

I've had fun so far having company stay for a week, going to Cowabunga Bay with the grandkids and eating out a lot.
Having fun swimming the lazy river at Cowabunga Bay waterpark in Draper, Utah.

Isn't this the cutest picture? Maybe we'll win a prize. We entered their instagram/facebook contest for Cowabunga pictures. I hope we win!

So far the summer is meeting expectations!  This week is gardening, painting and going to the Parade of Homes!

My littlest grandkid is so sweet too, isn't she? Love her! She is always smiling!!

It's so fun to have family nearby to share the fun with. I'm lucky they are close.

Deck Restore Paint Before and After Pictures

We have an old house. I think it is around 35 years old. So this deck may be really, really crotchety! That means old in pig latin. And we redid the flat part last year.  This year we wanted to redo all the posts and cover up those dumb hearts. (Who puts hearts on balconies except the Swiss? Are we living in the Swiss Alps or what?)
The awful Deck.  This is the BEFORE DECK RESTORE picture.
When we started the project last year we had to do a lot of PREP! Oh my GOSH the deck was flaky. Is yours that way too? Yuck!  I took the power washer and washed off the entire deck really good. It took me an hour or so. Then I let it dry.

Cowabunga Bay and IHOP

Guess where we were all day today?
Hi Grandma! Can we go in the water NOW?

We went to IHOP and Cowabunga Bay Waterpark today for Megan's 3rd birthday. It was fun to see their "happy face pancakes" at IHOP. I love that place for breakfast.

Strawberry happy face pancakes at IHOP.....yum.....

IHOP also has CHOCOLATE  Happy Face pancakeS!

The waiters all sang to Megan and brought her a little frozen yogurt. So cute.
Then Tiff wanted to take the girls to Cowabunga Bay, a waterpark in Draper.  So of course we wanted to tag along for some sunburnt fun. And I do mean sunBURNT!

To me Cowabunga Bay looks like a giant mousetrap....

Cowabunga Bay was super fun gampa!
Megan is like the Everready Bunny when it comes to waterparks. I couldn't keep up with her. Good thing there were 3 adults to spell each other when she'd take off in a run for another ride. She is pretty fearless when it comes to the big slides. I'm beat. But it was lots of fun.
